Who We Are
When Jack Welch was CEO of GE annual performance reviews were graded on a curve and 20% of all employees got a “Needs Improvement” rating. Two “needs improvement” ratings in a row and you were fired. Automatically. The surviving managers then hired people to replace the former employees who were as much like themselves as possible in the hope that this would lead to an organization of nothing but “superior” people.
ignition72 operates with a completely different perspective.
“Digital Made Human” means that our websites are built for humans with cutting edge technology, compelling design and technical compatibility with all the popular devices of the moment. But that is not where we stop, our sites are also meant to be controlled, updated, grown and expanded by humans. Humans who do not program or have computer science degrees. Humans of all ages and walks of life. Humans just like you.
So the building of our team was not a process of just finding some developers and designers and putting them in the same room. It was far more complicated:
- We are living and working in an environment that is changing at a dizzying speed, so homogeneity is the enemy of understanding and adapting to that environment. So we have loud/quiet, short/tall, urban/rural, American/foreign, fat/thin, old/young people on our team. We love diversity.
- We believe that talented people, put in a pleasant environment, given the training to be a cohesive marketing team, will produce work that will surprise and please not only our clients, but our clients' client.
- We see ourselves as being in partnership with our clients, to do something that we will all be happy with. After working with ignition72 all our clients can manage their own websites, something which was inconceivable to most of them in the past.
